Copyright Notice
Authors who submit manuscripts to the Journal of Global Arts Studies (JGAS) agree to the following copyright and publication terms. By submitting a manuscript to JGAS through the online submission system or another method designated by the editorial office, the author(s) confirm that they have read and agree to this Copyright Notice and the journal’s Copyright and Open Access Policy.

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright of their articles published in JGAS.
By submitting a manuscript to JGAS, the author(s) grant JGAS and its publisher, the Korea Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (KIHSS), the right of first publication and the non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, preserve, index, and make the article available in print, electronic, online, database, and other scholarly formats.
Upon publication, each article should indicate:

2. Open Access and Licensing
Articles published in JGAS are made available through the official journal website in accordance with the journal’s Copyright and Open Access Policy.
Unless otherwise stated, articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Under this license, users may read, download, copy, share, distribute, and adapt the article, including for commercial purposes, provided that proper attribution is given to the author(s), article title, journal title, and original publication information.

3. Self-Archiving
Authors may self-archive the pre-print, post-print, and published PDF versions of their articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, academic profiles, funder repositories, or other scholarly repositories, provided that proper citation to the original publication in JGAS is included.
When self-archiving any version of the article, authors should include a link to the official JGAS article page where available.

4. Full-Text Access

JGAS provides full-text access to published articles without an embargo.

5. Author Rights

Authors may use their published articles for scholarly, educational, and research purposes, including teaching, academic presentations, institutional repositories, personal academic websites, research reports, and future scholarly work, provided that the original publication in JGAS is properly cited.
Any reuse of the article must acknowledge JGAS as the original publisher.

6. Third-Party Materials

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use any third-party materials included in their manuscripts, including artworks, photographs, museum or archive images, figures, tables, maps, audio, video, performance documentation, long quotations, and copyrighted digital materials.
Third-party materials included in an article may not be covered by the article’s Creative Commons license unless clearly stated.
Users who wish to reuse such materials must obtain permission from the relevant rights holder where required.

7. Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts do not infringe copyright, moral rights, image rights, privacy rights, licensing terms, cultural rights, or other third-party rights.
By submitting a manuscript to JGAS, the author(s) confirm that they have read and agree to the journal’s Copyright and Open Access Policy.
