The Journal of Global Arts Studies (JGAS) is committed to transparency, fairness, and accessibility in scholarly publishing.
JGAS does not charge any membership fee, annual fee, submission fee, or peer review fee. Authors are not required to pay any fee at the time of manuscript submission or during the peer review process. Editorial screening and peer review are conducted independently and are not influenced by any payment.

1. Publication Fee After Acceptance
A publication fee is charged only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. For accepted manuscripts, the publication fee is: USD 220 per accepted article. This fee is used to support publication-related costs, including editorial administration, copyediting, formatting, online publication, website maintenance, digital archiving, metadata management, and other journal operation expenses.Payment of the publication fee does not guarantee acceptance. Editorial decisions are made independently based on academic quality, peer review results where applicable, ethical standards, and the journal’s editorial policies.

2. Waiver Policy for Authors from Low- and Lower-Middle-Income Economies
JGAS supports equitable access to scholarly publishing for researchers from economically disadvantaged regions. The publication fee may be fully waived for authors whose primary institutional affiliation is located in a low-income economy or lower-middle-income economy as classified by the World Bank at the time of acceptance.Authors who wish to request a waiver should contact the editorial office after acceptance or conditional acceptance of the manuscript. The request should include the author’s institutional affiliation and a brief explanation of eligibility.Waiver requests are considered independently from editorial decision-making. Requests for fee waiver do not affect peer review, editorial evaluation, acceptance, rejection, or publication decisions.

3. Fee Payment
The publication fee is requested only after acceptance or conditional acceptance of the manuscript.Detailed payment instructions will be provided by the editorial office after the acceptance decision.Authors should not make any payment before receiving official instructions from the editorial office.

4. Refund Policy
Once the accepted article has entered copyediting, formatting, production, online publication, or archiving, the publication fee is generally non-refundable.If a payment error or duplicate payment occurs, authors should contact the editorial office for review.

5. Transparency Statement
Publication fees are separate from editorial decision-making.Editors and reviewers are not involved in fee collection or waiver decisions. Manuscripts are evaluated according to the journal’s Editorial and Peer Review Policy, Publication Ethics, and other applicable JGAS policies.
