About the Journal

Journal of Global Arts Studies (JGAS, p-ISSN: 3022-2893, e-ISSN: 3022-6600) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes research on the arts, culture, and related interdisciplinary fields from global and cross-cultural perspectives.

The journal provides a forum for scholarly work that examines artistic production, interpretation, circulation, education, management, and transformation across diverse cultural, regional, historical, social, and technological contexts. JGAS welcomes contributions that advance critical understanding of the arts and their relationship to society, culture,

globalization, technology, sustainability, and contemporary life.

JGAS publishes original research articles and review articles. The journal’s scope includes, but is not limited to, visual arts, music, dance, design, architecture, digital art, intangible cultural heritage, art history and theory, aesthetics, cultural communication, art education, art management, artificial intelligence and art, art therapy, sustainable artistic practices, environmental art, and other areas relevant to global arts studies.

JGAS publishes articles in English. Manuscripts may be submitted in Chinese, English, or Korean. Accepted manuscripts submitted in languages other than English are prepared for English-language publication in accordance with the journal’s editorial standards.

The journal is published quarterly, with issues released on March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis and are assigned to an issue following editorial assessment, peer review, acceptance, copyediting, and production.

All submissions are subject to initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that fall within the journal’s aims and scope and meet basic scholarly and editorial requirements are sent for peer review. The review process considers originality, academic contribution, methodological soundness, clarity of argument, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal.

JGAS is committed to maintaining responsible editorial practices, supporting academic integrity, and promoting the international dissemination of research in the arts and cultural studies.
